So, how exactly does this work?

FAQs

  • Absolutely! While I mainly work remotely, I’m more than happy to meet in person. If you need in-person support, I will do my best to accommodate this whenever possible

  • I use an app called Toggl which will track my time. All time is rounded up to the nearest 15 minutes. If we don’t use all of your retainer package time in a month, it will be rolled over for one more month. I will contact you if you are nearing the end of your retainer package.

  • I am ICO registered. We will have a confidentiality agreement in place. I will be using LastPass to secure any passwords, password protect any sensitive data and will be using two factor authentication where applicable.

  • I will always notify you in advance of any planned annual leave and ensure tasks are managed to minimize any disruption. In the event of unexpected absence, I maintain a live working document or action list that will be shared with you to help mitigate any impact.

  • We can discuss your requirements and what retainer package will be most suitable for you during our discovery call. I usually work Monday to Friday on a flexible basis.

  • Email, Whatsapp, phone and video calls, Trello, there are lots of options! Essentially, whatever works best for you.

I will also arrange regular check in calls or meetings with you. We will likely be in contact more casually every day.

  • As a business owner you understand how expensive and time consuming it is to recruit.

As a Virtual Assistant, I’m self-employed. Which means, you will only pay for my time that you use. And you won’t need to pay:

    • Employers National Insurance

    • Workplace pension contributions

    • For equipment such as a desk or IT kit

    • Sick pay or paid holiday.

This helps to keep your overheads down, and means I have more autonomy as my own boss.

  • First, I’ll take the time to learn more about you, your business, and the type of support you need. I’ll then explain how I can help and provide you with the necessary paperwork to review. This will include:

    • My contract

    • GDPR policy

    • MLR (Money Laundering Regulations) policy (if I’m assisting with bookkeeping)

    • A client welcome pack

If you’re hiring me for bookkeeping services, I’ll also need to complete anti-money laundering checks before we can proceed.

All paperwork will be provided electronically via DocuSign for your convenience. Once everything is finalized, I’ll typically require up to 5 working days to get everything set up and running.

  • I would appreciate at least two weeks notice so I can help you find someone who is a more suitable fit, and help with a smooth transition. I also offer a cooling off period of 1 month from the start date in case you find this isn’t the service you want.

  • I will send you invoices once a month on a date to be agreed.
